The Strategic Water Alliance of Rotary District 7610 strives to provide under served communities with clean and accessible drinking water. We work with Rotarians, government officials, and independent contractors to help communities move from contaminated shallow-well water sources to deep well water that is free of contaminants and bacteria. Safe drinking water, sanitation facilities, and hygiene training are central to a community’s health, disease prevention, educational opportunity, economic growth potential, and political progress. By developing water projects through Rotary International, the Clubs of The Strategic Water Alliance are able to leverage the efforts of volunteer professionals both in the U.S. and in the communities we serve. We are also able to capitalize on the financial resources of one of the oldest and largest charitable organizations in the world.
Starting from the Rotary Club of Washington Dulles International, the Strategic Water Alliance now has 17 additional participating clubs.
