Since its founding in 2007, the District 7610 Strategic Water Alliance (SWA) has grown into a network of 25 Rotary clubs committed to expanding access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene in underserved communities. Through Rotary International’s Global Grant (GG) program, SWA partners with host Rotary clubs that identify local needs and provide project oversight, while our alliance contributes technical expertise, additional funding, and hands-on guidance. Our members also participate in international project visits to support implementation, monitor progress, and help ensure every project delivers sustainable, long-term impact.

Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene is one of Rotary’s Seven Areas of Focus, reflecting Rotary’s commitment to improving health, preventing disease, and building stronger, more resilient communities. At the heart of SWA are its participating Rotary clubs, whose financial support, volunteer leadership, advocacy, and dedication to Service Above Self make these life-changing projects possible. Together, they demonstrate the extraordinary impact Rotary can achieve through collaboration.

Each participating club becomes part of a lasting legacy of hope and transformation. Their investment helps empower women and girls, improve health outcomes, increase school attendance, strengthen local economies, and create sustainable opportunities for generations to come.
