BOB JANSEN

Bob currently serves as the Co-Chair for the SWA. His primary role is to oversee our 5 Committee Areas (Domestic Communication with the 15 participating clubs, International Communication with our Rotary partners abroad, Outreach which includes our annual Walk for Water and other activities getting the word out of what we do, Social Media including the web site and Facebook and Project Administration and Development which includes overseeing the operation of our current activates and leading the effort to consider new work). This work inspired Bob to become a Rotarian in 2013. He is passionate about giving back to those less fortunate and hopes to dedicate the balance of his life to the causes of clean water and proper sanitation.

ANDREW WADE

Andrew has been organizing the Annual Walk for Water for several years. Andrew has been assisting the SWA and many 7610 Rotary clubs on the Global Grant process and helping with the logistics of using The Rotary Foundation funding methods to use Rotary funds. Andrew has taken several trips to Zambia to not only see the projects first hands, but to build good will and better friendships through a great program.
In 2009, Andrew reached out to other clubs to collaborate on the Matching Grant Process; this is to leverage The Rotary Foundation to fund water and sanitation projects in Zambia. It has been an amazing process in getting other Rotary Clubs involved in one of the assigned Rotary’s Areas of Focus. The Dulles Club started with one project, and after a short time added four additional District 7610 Rotary Clubs.
He was a major part in making it the 18-strong cohort present today.

AMBREEN RIZVI

Water projects are dear to my heart since I come from a third world country myself where clean water is not accessible to the majority of the population. Clean water is the source of life. I have found these projects to be crucial for the welfare and health of so many Zambians, especially girls who need access to latrines and toilets. These projects bring communities together and help live longer with better resources.
I work with a great SWA leadership team which has been working on these projects for years. We all work well together and have great ways on keeping the member clubs engaged and informed.
I’m currently responsible for domestic communications with the 15 clubs members of SWA. I’m responsible for keeping the clubs informed on the global grant money and how work is progressing in Zambia. I also send reminders when major deadlines are approaching to ensure that clubs meet their financial obligations. I’m also responsible for promoting major events such as the Walk for Water in the fall.
